Wrapped V-belts

Covered V-belts are a type of drive belts used in machinery and equipment to transmit torques. The "cover" refers to a protective rubber or fabric layer that protects them from external influences such as oil, dirt, and moisture. This covering extends the life of the V-belt and ensures reliable performance over a longer period of time.

Covered V-belts are commonly used in industrial applications as well as in vehicles and agricultural machinery, where reliable power transmission is required.

A conventional V-belt is usually made of rubber or a rubber-like material and may be reinforced. It has a trapezoidal cross-sectional shape with tapered sides, referred to as "V-section." This V-shape allows for better adhesion between the belt and the pulley, ensuring efficient power transmission.

Even higher load capacity and thus longer lifespan can be achieved with composite V-belts.
