Coupling belts

Clutch belts are, as the name suggests, used in clutch mechanisms to enable torque transmission between two shafts. When engaging, which usually happens through a tensioning roller or a change in the distance between the two belt pulleys, friction and impact forces are created, which "normal" V-belts cannot withstand for long. Clutch V-belts therefore usually have a polyamide cover to allow slipping during engagement and an aramid (e.g. Kevlar) tension member, which gives the V-belt the necessary dimensional stability and resistance to stretching. Clutch V-belts are particularly used in garden and agricultural equipment, such as lawn mowers, lawn tractors, and snow blowers, where the blades or propulsion are often engaged only by tensioning the V-belt.

Please pay attention to the correct length and width of the clutch belt. The clutch belts are available in 3 standard widths: 3L = approx. 9.7mm, 4L = approx. 12.3mm, and 5L = approx. 16.3mm.
